Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) regulations 2003
The regulations protect everyone from direct and indirect discrimination, Harassment and victimisation in employment and training on the grounds of sexual orientation.
Practical workplace guidance can be obtained from Acas, their contact details are listed in a later section. Stonewall- A lesbian, gay and bisexual group- also provides information and guidance on equality issues relating to sexual orientation. Age Positive Cymru
Age Positive Cymru promotes the benefits of employing a mixed-age workforce that includes older and younger people. The campaign encourages employers to make decisions about recruitment, training and retention that do not discriminate against people because of their age. It promotes flexible retirement policies that can bring business benefits to employers and give individuals in the opportunity to remain in work longer. The Age Positive website has lots of case studies promoting good practice.

Genesis Association
The Charity helps unemployed people and those under threat of losing employment, primarily over the age of 40, with employment issues. They offer free information and advice on training, job seeking and support services. The Genesis Association also offers guidance to employers on the benefits of employing a mixed-age workforce.

Campaign Against Age Discrimination in Employment (CAADE)
CAADE has campaigned to prevent age discrimination since 1998 and provides guidance and training on age issues. It has an ‘Age Audit’ service to help you prepare for the new legislation in 2006 and organises pre-retirement preparation courses for employers and employees to explain the detail of pension laws.

This charity produces a wide range of information for and older people, including policy documents on older workers and fact sheets on pensions and retirement.
